The world is full of examples of misheard song lyrics but can you blame us when the "proper" lyrics are often pretty ridiculous. Why would someone leave a cake out in the rain? And why would a song about irony lists a whole bunch of things that are not ironic.
Personally I find Crowded House's Weather With You pretty nuts. "everywhere you go, always take the weather with you". I reckon a one of the great motivators for travel to escape the weather. In the heat of a Queensland summer so many people avoid basting in the fan-forced oven by leaving. At this time of year the human tide is all moving the other way. More Victorians are in Noosa than in North Melbourne right now. And who can blame them? I do not do cold. Anything under 20 degrees is very fresh. Under 10 and I struggle to get out of bed. The big motivator to get up and going is often it is far warmer outside and the skies are so clear and blue. plus you are far less likely to get sunburned
